Description: Despite the name, this game actually has very little in common with football (American or European). It's actually a bit more like rugby with soccer-style goals. Also, you can beat the hell out of the other team, using your fists or various weapons you find around the field. In fact, killing enough of the other team can earn you a win by default. The scrolling is a little choppy at times, but it's a pretty fun game overall. There is also a tournament mode that requires you to heal or re-capitate your players between matches. If you want more, there's also a semi-sequel to this game called "Wild Cup Soccer". Here's an easy strategy that will allow you to beat the computer every time: Choose a control method that does NOT auto switch players, get the ball, run to the opponents side, and kick it into the corner. While the computer players are going for it, beat the crap out of their goalie. Once the goalie is dead, he can't be replaced, and scoring is incredibly easy. Like the rest of Millenium's games, there is a variant of this game that comes in a jewel case with review scores printed on the front. If you have a mouse in port 2, it might make it a bit difficult to navigate the menus.
