| Description: An impressive soccer sim, featuring full team management... statistics, substitutions, formations, custom tournaments, replays, injury tracking, relegation/promotion, it's all here. If you don't want to mess around with all that "realism" nonsense, you still have the option to play a quick game without any of the fiddling. In fact, the game itself is very fast paced and well done. Keep in mind that this game focuses entirely on English football, including all the teams and players licensed from every League and Conference team in England... but there are no international teams whatsoever. This game was made partly to celebrate the victory of Manchester United in the first ever Premier League championship, and this CD version has hundreds of digitized photos of Manchester United that show up from time to time (you can also view them in the Setup menu if you like, the AGA graphics really make them look nice!) If you have a mouse in port 2, you can use it to navigate the menus. My copy is in a big box with a plastic CD sleeve, but the box has an inlay specifically to hold a jewel case, so maybe it came with one originally? I've never seen case inserts, so at best, it likely would have been a naked case. You must boot in PAL mode, otherwise the game will lock up immediately after the CD32 logo. |  |
